CTET Online Application Form, Notification, Exam Date and Results at www.ctet.nic.in

The CTET (www.ctet.nic.in) – Central Teacher Eligibility Test) is the national level examination that has been conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Aspirants desiring to become teachers in CBSE affiliated schools can write the Central Teacher Eligibility Test . The Examination is an annual examination that has been organized by CBSE. Many of the people will show interest on this examination every year and attempts the test.

How to apply for CTET in 2016 at ctet.nic.in

This is the National level examination that has been conducted across all over India. Based on the score / merit secured in the examination candidates will get selected by various CBSE schools like NVS, Tibetan, KVS etc. People who are looking bright career as a Teacher can attempt this examination. Few of the states will not conduct the STET ( State Teacher Eligibility Test) Examination. Hence in that case the CBSE schools of that state can consider the CTET Score of the applicants to offer the employment to them.

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test is mainly intended to raise the national level standards in education and also the students and teachers standards level of various CBSE schools. Hence anyone those who are eligible to attempt the examination can apply for the examination through the CBSE official portal, www.cbse.nic.in or CTET official portal, www.ctet.nic.in. Aspirants willing to apply for the exam can check the  eligibility criteria to attend the test and follow the application process if  you are having the suitable eligibility criteria.

CTET Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Stage

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education(by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.OR
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage

  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.OR
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

CTET Application Fee:

Paper I :

  • Rs 600/- for General and OBC Candidates
  • Rs 300/- for SC/ST/PHD Candidates

Paper II:

  • Rs 600/- for General and OBC Candidates
  • Rs 300/- for SC/ST/PHD Candidates

How to pay the CTET Application Fee?

Aspirants must pay the application fee through Challan. Affix a passport size photograph and signature in the space provided of the dully complete Application Form/Confirmation Page (also original CBSE copy of Challan, if fees paid through Bank/Post Office Challan)

How to apply for CTET in 2016

  • Interested candidates can visit the CTET website, ctet.nic.in and apply through online by clicking on the “apply online” link.
  • Aspirants also need to scan the educational documents, caste proof, identity proof , and other requisite documents beforehand while applying for the CTET examination.
  • While applying online, applicants need to attach the scanned documents along with application.
